INVITATION

We are very pleased to invite you in Italy for Polychar 2019!

This year the 27th annual World Forum on Advanced Materials will take place in Naples, from Monday, October 14, until Thursday, October 17, at the Congress Center of the University of Naples “Federico II”.
The hosting organizations will be the Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials of the Italian National Research Council and the University of Naples “Federico II”.

Polychar are annual conferences originally focused on polymer characterization (hence the acronym Polychar). In the last years, topics have been widely enlarged, including all the topics related to advanced materials.
Up to Polychar 11, the conferences were held in the USA, subsequently Polychar has moved worldwide to Portugal, Singapore, Japan, Brazil, India, France, Germany, Nepal, Croatia, South Korea, South Africa, USA, Poland, Malaysia, and finally Georgia. For reports from previous conferences, please see polychar.unt.edu

One of the most important aims of the Polychar Forum is to give young students and researchers the chance to present their scientific results to a wide public and to meet renowned scientists from all over the world. Therefore, prizes will be awarded to students and young researchers (up to 32 years of age) at the end of the Forum. Some of the winners of those prizes from earlier Polychar are now worldwide famous scientists. Moreover, the Forum aims to promote cooperation between research organizations and industries.

Following the Polychar tradition, a training course for young scientists on “Advanced polymer characterization techniques” will take place over the first day of the Forum, Monday, October 14.

We are looking forward to welcoming polymer scientists from all over the World to participate in the conference.
